Providing Christmas Clothes For Street Kids Through Writing

Storyteller Isaac Newton Akah and his writer-friends are writing Christmas Clothes themed stories with the aim of drawing people’s attention to the fact that many kids in the streets may have no clothes to put on this Christmas. They hope to provide clothes for at least 100 kids this yuletide.

The mission statement as gleaned from Isaac Newton Akah’s wall reads:

We may never change the world wholly, but we can be part of the few things that are positive here. Humanity.

With #ClothesAndChristmas story series, we hope to be a part of your Christmas festivities by entertaining you with stories. We also hope to draw your attention to the fact that a lot of kids on the street may never know the joy of wearing Christmas clothes this year.

While you read the stories, you may clothe a kid through our outlets.

The amazing Eniola Ennmae Adeniji will be in charge of the logistics involving getting and sending the clothes to the kids. And yes, accountability is guaranteed. For further enquiries, be in touch with her.

We are also accepting clothes, not just cash.
Condition: The clothes have to be new ones.
Age: 3 – 8 years

Logistic: We can arrange for pickup if the clothes are up to three. If not, contact Eniola for available delivery location across Lagos.

Target: 100 kids. 3K per kid.

Thank you all.

Participating writers include: Victor Daniel, Mary Blessing Ocheido, Itodo Samuel Anthony, Chika “Chykah Bro” Aliogo, Chisim Chikere, Kola Onifoto and many others.

Recall that last year, Isaac Newton Akah and his friends had written 20 hilarious stories with the theme, Christmas chicken, and trended it using the hash tag #ChickenAndChristmas. This year, they aim to try something different, and in the process, provide happiness for less privileged kids.
